Comprehensive Musicianship & Community

Cello study extends beyond the private lesson room. Students engage in regular studio group classes, technique workshops, masterclasses, and formal recitals. This vibrant community structure develops collaborative ensemble skills, stage presence, and lasting motivation alongside peers.

  • Tailored for serious school musicians aiming for leadership chairs, youth orchestras (such as MYSO), and WSMA Solo & Ensemble festivals. Instruction emphasizes shifting, vibrato refinement, thumb position, advanced etudes (Dotzauer, Feuillard, Popper), and standard concerto repertoire.

  • Structured instruction for motivated adults seeking classical mastery or technical refinement. Whether picking up the cello for the first time or returning to serious study, lessons focus on ergonomic efficiency, expressive tone production, and rich standard literature.
